ASCE Scholarship Opportunity

The ASCE Dallas Branch will be awarding a minimum of three (3)-$2,000 scholarships to deserving high school seniors in the Dallas Metroplex who pursue a career in Civil Engineering.  The following criteria are considered in the evaluation of the scholarship applicants:

• Pursuing Civil Engineering degree in the Fall Semester of 2011
• Academic (GPA, SAT/ACT Scores, Curriculum, Special Recognitions or Honors)
• Financial need
• Student employment
• Extracurricular activities
• References
• Essay

There are no minimum scholastic requirements or income limitations.  All scholarships are awarded on an equal opportunity basis to students who will attend an institution of higher learning in the upcoming fall semester pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering.  The postmark deadline for the application is April 30, 2011.  Recipients will be honored at a summer branch meeting, where they and their families are invited to attend at no cost.  Please feel free to contact Nicole Carrillo, Scholarship Chair at [email protected] if you have any questions.
