Happy September ASCE Dallas Branch Members!

Hoping for more rain (but not a monsoon) for our region soon.  The soils where I live are shrinking and not very happy right now.  Thank you to those of you that attended our August Branch Luncheon and learned details about the John Bunker Sands water reuse project by NTMWD, both in-person and virtually.  For those that attended the meeting virtually, please know we are continuing to update software and technology to improve the on-line experience.

We are looking forward to hearing Dee Leggett, Executive Vice President with DART give us an update on the Silver Line and other DART discussion items on Monday, September 11th at the Vouv!  The speaker at 1 pm after the luncheon  will be Mike Cooper discussing in greater detail  items about the Silver Line construction.  We appreciate Urban Engineers sponsoring the September luncheon.   We will be sharing the names of officer nominations.  If you are interested in participating in a committee or institute, please contact me or fill out the form available here

Please mark your calendar to attend our annual October Awards Meeting at lunch time on Monday, October 16th!   It will be a prelude to the 2024 centennial year celebration with a joint presentation by Mark Bouma (NTTA) and Alberta Blair (Dallas County Public Works).  New 2023-2024 ASCE Dallas Board of Directors  will be installed, honorees for Engineer of the Year and Young Engineer of the Year will be recognized along with  new Life Members from the Dallas Branch.

Also, we are pretty sure the weather will be / was dry for the September 8th Dallas Branch Golf Tournament  at the Texas Rangers Golf Club.   A special thanks goes out to our Golf Tournament Title Sponsor: Advanced Drainage Systems (ADS)!

As always, please do not hesitate to reach out to me. I am here to serve you as your Dallas Branch President, and am available to discuss anything that matters to you.
