Nancy Cline

Greetings to our ASCE Dallas Branch Members!

I am excited about the presentation at our upcoming August 14th meeting.    I was fortunate to tour the John Bunker Sands Wetland treatment project two years ago.  It is a hidden engineering achievement that helps provide multiple benefits to the environment and assist in water re-use for the watershed.  Our speakers from NTMWD and Plummer will discuss the John Bunker Sands project and also an update on the North Texas Municipal Water District’s ongoing projects and needs.

Thank you to everyone that attended the July 14th joint meeting hosted by the Fort Worth ASCE Branch in Arlington.  The speakers were wonderful and it was good to see everyone.   The Fort Worth Branch of ASCE did a great job organizing it.  Thank you to Region 6 (and also AmeriTex Pipe and Ron Reichert for sponsoring several of the college students’ attendance costs.   The Dallas Branch ASCE will host the meeting next year and the Board is looking for volunteers to serve on the committee.  Please contact me at [email protected].

Thank you to the Branch’s Younger Member committee led by Nalah Williams for organizing another fun event for the Younger Members in July (and inviting all of our members).

The Dallas Branch Officer and Committee Chair nominations are also currently open!
