ASCE TEXAS SECTION SPRING 2013 CONFERENCE AND CENTENNIAL CELEBRATION IN CORPUS CHRISTI: MARCH 19-23, 2013

The Spring Conference was held last month in Corpus Christi as the Texas Section honored 100 years of Engineering a Better Texas!

The conference had three full days of educational content, including presentations from the Port of Corpus Christi, TxDOT, and three ASCE Institutes. The conference also provided many networking opportunities including mixers, a banquet at the Texas Aquarium, and a Friday Night Celebration that was planned by the students.

We had a lot of participation from college students from across Texas and Mexico. The students competed in the Concrete Canoe Competition as-well-as had the opportunity to attend multiple programs including Interviewing 101, What They Didn’t Teach You in School, and Path to P.E.

I’m honored to report that the Dallas Branch was very well represented at the conference! I’d like to congratulate the following people for being recognized as Texas Section Award Winners at the Honors Luncheon:
