CE Club DISD Bridge Building Partnership December 2016 Update

Update on DISD Bridge Building Partnership

As part of the formal partnership ASCE Dallas entered into with DISD for their Popsicle Bridge Competition, Jonathan Brower, the ASCE Dallas Branch Director, visited Nancy Moseley Elementary to check up on their bridge designs. Jonathan taught the two student teams engineering terms like “tension” and “compression”. Jonathan also taught the teams how to think about shapes, materials, and forces when designing a beam or bridge. 

The students at Nancy Moseley are certainly passionate and excited about the bridge competition and we look forward to seeing what designs they come up with!
