What are Cookie Box Creations?

The Girl Scouts Cookie Box Creations competition teams older Girl Scouts with women (or men) architects and engineers in a design contest to turn empty GS cookie boxes into free standing themed structures. The program runs from orientation in October through the final build in the spring.

This year’s theme is Major Inventions. This year’s theme may include inventions such as (but not limited to):

  •        Light bulb
  •        Printing Press
  •        Automobile
  •        The Wheel
  •        The Telephone
  •        Airplane
  •        Computer
  •        Train/steam engine

Teams will get to randomly select a major invention at orientation.  The Mentor Orientation will include: program overview, structure requirement updates, techniques for making it girl-led, building tips, and more!

The Cookie Box Creations Orientation will be on Saturday, October 29th at JoAnn Fogg Service Center (6001 Summerside Dr, Dallas TX, 75252). The Mentor Orientation will be from 12:30pm-1:30pm (lunch provided).

What to expect after orientation?

We would typically meet every two or three weeks for two hours near downtown Dallas. In these meetings we will help the girls with the design and building.  Location and time are yet to be determined.

If you are interested in participating please contact the ASCE Dallas Girl Scouts Champion, Paulina Cristoforo, at [email protected] or 214-740-6211.
