2016-2017 Election of ASCE Dallas Board of Directors Results

The Dallas Branch Members were informed of the nominated slate on August 8, 2016 at the Branch Luncheon meeting. The membership was provided the option to vote online through in email invitation to the Branch website from August 22, 2016 to September 11, 2016.  The ballot was updated once due to an omission of one candidate, and Dallas members were requested to recast their votes on August 24, 2016.  The updated ballot included all 6 nominees to be elected.  Paper ballots were provided at the September 12, 2016 Branch luncheon meeting.  Tentative results were announced at the end of the meeting. The majority of the membership that had voted in the election voted to approve the new slate of officers. 

The following are the official results from the online and paper ballots collected. 

The question on the ballot: “As a member of ASCE Dallas Branch, do you vote to approve the above recommended slate of candidates to serve on the 2016-2017 Board of Directors?”

These election results are a representation of majority approval from the Dallas Branch membership. The 6 candidates listed below will be installed as officers along with the 3 officers succeeding from the previous year at the Branch’s Annual Meeting in October, 2016.

Vice President – Anthony Luce, P.E.

Treasurer (2-yr Term) – Andre Garces-Torres, P.E.
Technical Director – Gary Dreighton, P.E.
Branch Director – Jonathan Brower, P.E.
Texas Section Director (to serve out 2nd year of 2-yr Term) – Julie Jones, P.E.

President – Frank Pugsley, P.E. (Succession from President-Elect)
