Volunteers Needed for the National Concrete Canoe Competition

The NET-ASCE branch is proud to be a sponsor of the National Concrete Canoe Competition hosted by UT Tyler this June 9^th thru June 11^th . The members of the UT Tyler student chapter have reached out to the local branch for help in filling the various volunteer tasks. If you want to officially volunteer, please follow the volunteer link below. The website is an interactive site so you can see what task are available and who has signed up. If you have any trouble you can email Sheryl Marshall ([email protected]) or Owen Sanderson ([email protected]) the time & task. Listed below are several tasks in which professionals may be the most help. Feel free to sign up for any event. If you can’t volunteer, please try to join us on the UT Tyler campus June 9th & 10th or at The Green Acres Baptist Retreat on Lake Tyler June 11th to support your local student branch. Invite your family and friends.

A summary of these tasks are:
1)      Thursday 10am-2pm - Canoe Weight in
2)      Thursday 10am-2pm - Canoe Sump Test
3)      Thursday 12pm-5pm - Cardboard Canoe Races
4)      Thursday  6pm-9pm - NET Branch Meet and Greet Meeting Held at UT Tyler, TBD
5)      Friday 8am-5pm - Course set up: We need 2 to 4 volunteers with boats that can help set the course up on Friday and safety boats on Saturday.
6)      Friday 8pm-11:30pm - Movie Night Sponsored by the NET Branch
7)      Saturday 6:30am-8:30am - Parking Trailers
8)      Saturday 8am – 12pm  /  12pm to 3pm (two shifts) - Racing Timers, You use a stop watch to time the boat races.
9)      Saturday 8am-5pm - Racing Safety Boats
