“DART Update”

This month we will have Stephen L. Salin, AICP, who is the Vice President for Capital Planning at DART.  He will be giving an update on current and upcoming projects for the DART system.

Stephen (Steve) Salin, AICP, has over 35 years of experience in capital development programs advancing a wide range of projects including, light rail, streetcar and commuter rail infrastructure. Within DARTs Growth & Regional Development Department, Steve is responsible for system planning, preliminary engineering and environmental review services. 

He is actively involved in the American Public Transportation Association (APTA) where he serves on a number of committees including thePolicy and Planning Committee, and as Co-Chair of the Major Capital Investment Planning Subcommittee.  He currently serves as a Transit Representative to the Transportation Research Board (TRB) of the National Academy of Sciences in Washington, DC where he provides technical assistance on a number of research issues and panels involved with transit related projects. Mr. Salin is a member of the American Institute of Certified Planners, and holds a Master of Planning degree from the University of Virginia.
