2016 Engineers Week Awards Luncheon

WHAT: Texas Society of Professional Engineers - Dallas and Preston Trail Chapters, traditionally in partnership with AIChE (The American Institute of Chemical Engineers), ASCE (American Society of Civil Engineers), ASME (American Society of Mechanical Engineers), SAME (Society of American Military Engineers) and SPE (Society of Petroleum Engineers) host this annual Awards Luncheon honoring their Engineers of the Year. Engineers Week is a national week promoting the engineering disciplines to students, help expand public recognition of the engineering profession and celebrate engineering accomplishments.  

Come be a part of the largest gathering of professional engineers in North TexasOver 600 guests will celebrate exceptional engineers in the Metroplex area with Engineer of the Year and Young Engineer of the Year Awards and all the proceeds from this event will fund Texas Engineering Foundation scholarships benefiting Dallas Area graduating high school students pursuing an engineering degree in college.  Since 2008, we’ve given close to $200,000 in scholarships and this year we’d love to raise another $70,000 with your help.  More information on sponsorship information is here

WHO: Our Honorary Co-Chairs this year are Thomas Kula, Executive Director of the North Texas Municipal Water District and Dean Marc Christensen of Southern Methodist University. Our Event Chair is Dev Rastogi, P.E. of Lockwood, Andrews and Newman. Our keynote speaker is Colleen Walker, CEO (and engineer!) of the Perot Museum of Nature and Science. Our emcee is Colleen Coyle of WFAA-TV.
