Main Speaker - September 2015

Speaker: Michael J. Shultz, Ph.D., P.H., P.E.

Dr. Shultz has spent the last 30 years working with floods across the State of Texas. Dr. Shultz is currently a river forecaster with the National Weather Service – West Gulf River Forecast Center in Fort Worth, Texas. Prior to this, he was a reservoir regulator with the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers – Reservoir Control Section, also located in Fort Worth.

Dr. Shultz is a graduate of Colorado State University with a B.S. in Watershed Sciences. He has also completed both a M.S. and Ph.D. in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Dr. Shultz is licensed as a Professional Engineer in the States of Texas and Colorado. He is also certified as a Professional Hydrologist through the American Institute of Hydrology.
