Topic: Deep Seated Heave – Embraced Or Ignored

Speaker: Hollye C. Fisk

Hollye C. Fisk is a principal with the law firm of Fisk Alexander, P.C. who focuses his practice on the representation of architects and engineers in malpractice claims. Mr. Fisk is a licensed attorney and a registered architect in the State of Texas and a Fellow of the American Institute of Architects recognized for his efforts in educating architects and engineers regarding their sociolegal responsibilities and educating others about architects and engineers. He received his Bachelor of Architecture degree, with honors, from The University of Texas School of Architecture in 1970 and his Juris Doctorate degree from The University of Texas School of Law in 1972. In addition to various legal memberships addressing construction law, Mr. Fisk has remained active in the architectural arena serving as advisor to the Dallas Chapter of the American Institute of Architects and the Texas Society of Architects and is a former vice-president and co-chairman of the Governmental Affairs Committee of the Texas Society of Architects. Mr. Fisk is also a founding member of The Jefferson Society, Inc., a not for profit entity, in the home state of President Thomas Jefferson, Virginia, whose members are trained in law and architecture. Mr. Fisk maintains an active trial practice throughout the State of Texas.

Topic: The Structural Design of the New Parkland Hospital

Speaker: Stephen Price, P.E.

Stephen Price, P.E., served as the structural team project manager for the New Parkland Hospital. The structural team was selected by HDR + Corgan in 2009 and consisted of a joint venture between AG&E Associates, Datum Engineers, Inc. and Charles Gojer and Associates. Stephen joined Datum Engineers, Inc. in 1998 and became a Principal in 2004. His work experience includes healthcare facilities, university buildings, research buildings, office buildings, and parking garages. Stephen is a licensed professional engineer in eight states. He holds a bachelor of science in civil engineering from the University of Texas at Austin and a master of science in civil engineering from Stanford University.
