Following the July 2013 Meeting of the ASCE Dallas Branch and as continuation of the Luncheon Program on our transportation theme, the Dallas T&DI will hold a Seminar on “Public Involvement Programs for Transportation Projects.” This seminar will highlight the current state of such programs and how they have assisted transportation agencies in their complex urban reconstruction projects as well as the commuters. Some of the current ongoing strategies, including using web and social networking will be discussed. Traditional and legal requirements of the federally funded projects will also be presented.

The seminar will be presented by Ms. Katrina Keyes, President & CEO of K Strategies Group LLC of Dallas. An accomplished business and community leader with over 15 years of public outreach experience will discuss her award-winning public affairs firm’s projects and approach to public involvement programs. She has completed projects for TxDOT (Horseshoe and Texas Oklahoma Passenger Rail Study), DART (Blue Line and Cotton Belt), and the City of Dallas (Love Field and Streetcar), and DFW Airport (Terminal Renewal and Improvement Program). You can view more about K Strategies at their website, www.kstrategies.com.

The Seminar is free to those attending the Luncheon and no separate reservation is required. A certificate for continuing education requirement will be provided. If any questions, please contact the T&DI Chair, Roger Behgam, P.E. at [email protected] or (214) 215-8321.
