Dallas Branch receives Honorable Mention for Diversity Award

The ASCE National Committee on Diversity and Women in Civil Engineering (CDWCE) awarded the Dallas Branch an honorable mention for the 2010 Diversity Award!  The Dallas Branch received this honorable mention due to noteworthy efforts in demonstrating support of equitable opportunity for participation of people within the civil engineering profession without regard to race, ethnicity, religion, age, gender, sexual orientation, nationality, or physical challenges.  The Dallas Branch submission demonstrated the Dallas Branch’s significant contributions to the profession through the growing equitable representation within the leadership, and demonstrated awareness and respect of cultural, religious and physical needs of members and supporting our next generation of Civil Engineering leaders.

Congratulations to all Board and Branch members who helped win this outstanding award, and particularly Rachel Hayden, Immediate Past President, for submitting the nomination form on behalf of the Dallas Branch of ASCE!
