GB Mann Scholarship Fund Update

About two months ago I asked you to support the ASCE Dallas Branch GB Mann Scholarship Fund.  With interest rates on the fund being so low in recent years, the golf tournament, which we alternate hosting with the Fort Worth Branch, is the primary source of revenue for the scholarship at the present time.  This year, the Fort Worth Branch is the host, which means that the Dallas Branch will not be able to award Scholarships at the same level to deserving students unless we can raise the funds to support them.  

Since that time the Scholarship Committee has sent letters we sent to about 150 firms in the metroplex requesting support, held a fundraiser at a local restaurant, promoted a second fundraiser, and requested individual donations both during lunches at with registration.  Thank you for all the individuals and the three firms that have donated to date.  
However we still need your help. We are significantly below our goal to give out scholarships this year. Only with your support can we make this possible. Please consider giving on-line with your reservation or writing a check to ASCE Dallas Branch – GB Mann Scholarship Fund and mailing it to ASCE Dallas Branch, P.O. Box 541373 Dallas, TX 75354-1373.
