Scholarship Committee Report - August 2012

As Scholarship Chair, I want to thank the Committee: Scott Young, Sophia Harvey, Kayla Lorentz, Colin Blankenship, Kristin Green, and Susan Langdon for all their hours in fundraising this year.  Thank you especially to Construction Engineering, JBI Partners, and Alliance Geotechnicalfor each of their very generous donations to the GB Mann Scholarship Fund.  Also thank you to Sophia Harvey, Jill Jordan and Urban Engineers Group for the donations for the gift cards for the raffles we held at the last several ASCE luncheon meetings.  We also appreciate everyone that has so generously donated on-line, at the door and participated in the raffles.  Through your donations we hope to provide enough money to provide Scholarship this fall to area high school students.

1. The Golf Tournament Committee is now the Scholarship Fundraising Committee and will perform fundraising each year for the GB Mann Scholarship.
2. The scholarship fund raising will be occur the in one financial year and be awarded the following year based on the fund raising from the previous year.
3. The Scholarship will eligible to graduating high school students only which reside in the Dallas Branch.
4. The call for applications will occur in the fall of each year (so you will see scholarship applications and awards later this year).

A raffle will be held this month to help fund the fund this year’s scholarship.  If you have any questions or concerns, please see me or any of the committee members.
