The ASCE Pipelines 2013 Conference will be held in the greater Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex, the activity center for the pipeline industry on June 23-26, 2013. Currently, there are many major pipeline projects under design and construction, such as a $2.3 billion, 150-mile, water transmission project. This international conference provides an excellent forum to advance the art, science and practice of pipelines engineering in all areas of water, sewer, gas, oil, electric and telecommunications.  Additionally, workshops on research needs and new pipeline technologies are scheduled. Pipeline professionals, academic researchers and students are specially invited to attend and present in these workshops, and scholarships may be available.

To that end, we are currently accepting abstract papers related to pipeline infrastructure; planning and design; safety, risk management and condition assessment; trenchless technologies; location and installation; and oil & gas pipelines.  All abstracts are due Wednesday, October 10, 2012.  For more information visit www.pipelinesconference.org
