May 2026 Texas Section Updates
The ASCE Texas Section is now accepting nominations for its annual awards, which recognize outstanding achievements in civil engineering across the state. These awards provide an opportunity to honor engineers whose professional accomplishments, leadership, and service have made a meaningful impact on their communities and the industry. ASCE encourages members to take part in the nomination process and help shine a spotlight on deserving colleagues whose work reflects the highest standards of the profession. The deadline for award nominations is May 15, 2026. Nominate a fellow engineer here! ASCE Texas Section invites companies and organizations to showcase their brand at CECON 2026, taking place September 16–18 in Corpus Christi, Texas. This year’s theme, “Revitalizing Resiliency,” highlights the importance of strengthening the civil engineering profession through innovation, adaptability, and forward-thinking solutions. CECON offers an excellent opportunity to connect with a diverse audience of civil engineers, industry leaders, and decision-makers from across Texas and beyond. Whether you are launching a new product, expanding your professional network, or positioning your company as a leader in the field, this event provides a valuable platform to increase your visibility and make a lasting impression. Participants will have the opportunity to engage with professionals across the industry, support meaningful conversations about the future of civil engineering, and stay informed on emerging technologies and trends shaping the profession. Opportunities start at $1,000. Don’t miss the chance to set your brand apart while supporting the future of civil engineering. Find out more here! Tuesday, June 16, 12:00 PM - 01:00 PM CDT - Concrete-Enhanced Synthetic Turf Revetment System – An Innovative Technology for Protecting Coastal Structures presented by Randy Thompson & Ron Devaux PE, MBA. Registrations to open soon.
Recognizing fellow civil engineers helps highlight the dedication, innovation, and commitment that continue to advance the profession. It also strengthens a culture of excellence within the engineering community by celebrating those who go above and beyond in both their careers and volunteer service.
The following honors will be given to engineers who demonstrate exceptional service to the Texas Section, their local ASCE Branch, and the general public via professional work and volunteer initiatives.
The nomination form below includes a description of each prize. The prizes are given out yearly at the ASCE Texas CECON Gala in September. Please send all questions to Honors Committee Chair Travis Attanasio PE at [email protected]2. Sponsorship & Exhibitor Opportunities Now Open for CECON 2026
