Transportation & Development Institute (T&DI) Committee Seminar

The Dallas Branch Transportation & Development Institute (T&DI) Committee will hold a seminar following the September 10, 2012 meeting/luncheon.  The seminar is titled “Dallas Area Rapid Transit: The Past, Present and Future of Transit” and will highlight the following:

·         Overview of DART and growth of the DART System

·         Current projects in planning, design and construction

·         Status of the 2030 Transit System Plan

·         Challenges for the region as it grows

The presentation will be made by Kay M. Shelton, A.I.C.P., of DART Rail Planning.  Kay received BS in Economics and Business at UCLA, and a Masters in City Planning from San Diego State University. Prior to joining DART in 2000, Kay worked at BRW, Inc. and URS Corporation. She has managed a variety of projects ranging from site specific transportation studies through major, complex rail corridor projects.
