Girl Scouts Update

During the February ASCE Dallas Branch Meeting, Girl Scout Troop 541 Leaders sold 41 boxes of Girl Scout cookies and received $152 in donation.  Cookie sales continue until March 15, 2026 and was extended due to the week-long Winter storm.  The message below was shared from Troop 541 leaders with a special thank you to the ASCE Dallas Branch for their continued support.

“Buying Girl Scout Cookies is about so much more than the cookie. Yes, they are delicious. Yes, they are nostalgic. Yes, they are a treat we all look forward to. But the real value is standing right in front of you in that uniform.

When you buy a box of Girl Scout Cookies, you are funding a girl’s entire program experience. You are helping her go to camp, earn badges, complete community service projects, travel, explore STEM, build leadership skills, and learn how to set and achieve goals. That experience does not stay with her for a moment. It shapes who she becomes and how she shows up in the world, and it comes back to serve this very community.

The girl at the booth is learning how to speak confidently to adults, manage money, handle rejection, work as a team, and take responsibility for a goal she set herself. Those are life skills. Those are workforce skills. Those are leadership skills.

Store-bought cookies do not do that.
No brand cookie funds a girl-led service project.
No grocery store cookie helps a girl learn entrepreneurship.
No off-the-shelf treat teaches courage, confidence, and character.

Girl Scout Cookies do.

So while the cookie is the delicious bonus, the real impact is the investment in a young person who is learning how to lead, give back, and grow into someone who will make a difference. That return shows up in stronger girls, stronger leaders, and a stronger community for all of us.”
