DFW AIRPORT'S INTERNATIONAL PARKWAY DESIGN-BUILD PROJECT

Giovanni Zavala

Mr. Zavala has over 18 years of experience, all with Archer Western, building large scale alternative delivery infrastructure projects that involved pre-construction activities such as constructability review, scheduling, cost analysis, and project start-up. Throughout his career, Zavala has managed projects ranging from $67 million to $1.6 billion, and brings extensive experience working with DFW International Airport, TxDOT, and DART. At DFW Airport, Zavala is currently delivering the $365 million DFW International Parkway Bridges & HML design-build project, $9.5 million Rehab and Improvement of SE Employee Lot project, and $67 million Terminal F Concourse & Skylink Station Paving project. In the DFW Area, he has successfully completed the following projects- the $3.4 million West 21^st Street Repairs project, $800,000 C.U.P. Jet Fuel Piping Leak Repair, $1.6 billion DART Silver Line Project, $1.0 billion IH-35 Express Project and the $15 million Terminal.

Harish B. Rao

Mr. Rao is the structural assets manager and subject matter expert for DFW Airport. He oversees the structural assets of the world’s 3rd busiest airport including Buildings, Bridges, Walls, Culverts, Soil Slopes, High-mast Light Poles etc. He is instrumental in the creation of Capital projects for Rehabilitation or Replacement, QC Reviews, Inspections, Life-cycle Maintenance, and On-call for Emergency Incidents. He relocated from Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where he received his B.S. in Civil Engineering and a MBA from Penn State University. His vast professional experience includes engineering positions with the Pennsylvania Department of Transportation and Michael Baker International.

Veronica Martinez, PE

Ms. Martinez is an experienced Senior Project/Construction Manager with 25+ years in Infrastructure Design, Project and Program management, and Strategic Planning for major organizations including the Panama Canal Authority, Dallas Fort Worth International Airport, and Texas Department of Transportation. She is recognized for consistently delivering complex, high-profile projects on schedule and under budget while building strong, collaborative teams and maintaining trusted stakeholder relationships. Ms. Martinez holds an MBA and a Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering. She currently serves as the Senior Project Manager and Owner’s Representative for the International Parkway Design-Build Project at DFW Airport.
