October 2025 President's Message

Dear ASCE Dallas Branch Members and Friends, 

It is hard to believe that our fiscal year is ending and that my term as Branch President is concluding.  To our members, it has truly been an honor to serve you and represent the Dallas Branch.  To our volunteers, I extend my deepest gratitude—thank you for your time, energy, and dedication.  I have cherished every moment working alongside you to advance the mission and vision of ASCE.  To our friends, thank you for joining us and hope you continue to collaborate with ASCE and our branch, building on our shared commitment to the profession.

Please join us for our Annual Meeting and Awards Celebration on October 20th. We are honored to welcome Carol Haddock, ASCE Global President-Elect, for a special Conversation on Pathways to Resilient Communities, moderated by our very own Julie Jones.  Following this, we will celebrate our annual awards and conduct the installation ceremony of our 2025–2026 officers.
Mark your calendars for Monday, November 10, 2025, when we will host a joint meeting with SAME. The event will feature half-day technical sessions presented by the Geo-Institute and the Transportation & Development Institute, followed by a keynote presentation from Nadine Lee, CEO of DART.

If you’d like to get more involved with our Branch, I’d love to connect you with one of our many volunteer opportunities, including open Committee Chair positions on our Board of Directors.
