President's Message - March 2025

Dear ASCE Dallas Branch Members and Friends,

I am thrilled to share some outstanding achievements of our branch! The Dallas Branch has been honored with the MOSAIC Section & Branch JEDI Award, the Outstanding Support of a Student Chapter Award, and the Outstanding Younger Member Group Project Award. These accomplishments would not be possible without our dedicated volunteers, whose hard work and commitment make our branch truly exceptional.

A special congratulations to our Environmental & Water Resources Institute (Dallas EWRI), which has been recognized with the Outstanding Technical Group/Institute Chapter – Small category award. This honor will be presented at the 2025 World Environmental and Water Resources Congress in Anchorage, Alaska.

As we celebrate Women’s History Month, this year’s theme, “Moving Forward Together: Women Educating and Inspiring Generations,” resonates deeply with me. As a husband to a hardworking woman and a father to three aspiring daughters, I recognize the importance of honoring the contributions and history of women.

Our upcoming branch meeting on March 10, 2025, will feature an insightful keynote on the Texas ASCE Infrastructure Report Card, presented by Mark Boyd (ASCE Texas Section President) and Julie Jones (ASCE Texas Section Vice President for Professional Affairs). Our morning technical session, “Bridging the Gap - From Traditional Inspections to Drone Innovations,” will be led by Michael Marshall, Senior Associate / Bridge Engineer at Stantec.

I look forward to seeing everyone on March 10th!

Warm regards,
Fadi N. Faraj, P.E.
