2.  Register for the Texas Legislative Drive-In by 2/7

3. 2025 ASCE Frontier Student Symposium: Career Fair

oin ASCE Region 6 and ASCE Student Chapters from Mexico, New Mexico, Oklahoma & Texas for the Annual ASCE Frontier Student Symposium. In 2025, the ASCE Frontier Student Symposium will be hosted at Tarleton State University, with over 600 students expected to attend! The ASCE Frontier Student Symposium Career Fair offers employers an exceptional opportunity to connect with talented civil engineering students in a highly effective, cost-efficient setting. Unlike traditional career fairs where companies may spend upwards of $600 to meet students from a single university, this symposium brings together hundreds of students from Mexico, New Mexico, Oklahoma, and Texas. 4.  New ASCE Texas Section Annual Award

ASCE Texas Outstanding Faculty Advisor Award

We’re excited to share a fantastic opportunity to recognize the faculty advisors who make a difference in our civil engineering journey. The Texas Outstanding Faculty Advisor Award, presented by Texas Civil Engineering Foundations (TCEF), honors exceptional Faculty Advisors who demonstrate outstanding leadership, dedication, and unwavering support for their ASCE Student Chapters. This prestigious award comes with:

  • A $500 monetary prize for the winning Faculty Advisor.
  • A $500 monetary prize for the associated Student Chapter.
  • Recognition on the TCEF website.
  • A digital ribbon to share with your department or on social media.
  • Automatic nomination for the ASCE Global Outstanding Faculty Advisor Award.

If you know a Faculty Advisor who goes above and beyond to support your chapter, here’s how you can nominate them:

PREPARE YOUR NOMINATION

  • Fill out the official nomination form
  • Include a personal statement from a student or another advisor detailing the advisor’s impact.
  • Email your completed submission to [email protected] by 5 PM CT on February 28.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA

  • The nominee must be a current ASCE member in good standing.
  • They must be actively serving as a Faculty Advisor for an established ASCE Student Chapter.
  • The advisor should have demonstrated exceptional commitment to ASCE student members and promoted the value of ASCE involvement during and after college.
