President's Message - January 2025

Dear ASCE Dallas Branch Members and Friends, 

Happy New Year! I hope y’all had a wonderful holiday season and are having a fantastic start to 2025. On behalf of the branch, I want to express our gratitude to Quinn Span and everyone who contributed to the 46th Annual “Christmas Is For Caring Campaign”. Thanks to your generosity, the Dallas Branch raised $2,075 this year.

I am also proud to announce that the Dallas Branch has been selected to receive a 2024 Outstanding Section and Branch Award Certificate of Commendation in the medium Section and Branch membership category. Additionally, we have been honored with the 2024 Outstanding Section and Branch Website Award. A special thank you to all our volunteers whose dedication continues to shine.

Our upcoming meeting on January 13, 2025, sponsored by Huitt-Zollars, will feature Mark Bouma as the keynote speaker. He will be discussing the “NTTA Infrastructure Expansion & Rehabilitation Program”. In addition, we will have a morning technical session led by Hosam Salman, PE, from WSP on “IH 35 Phase 2: Geotechnical Challenges and Innovation”.
