  1. Membership Renewals

Thank you for your contributions to ASCE, the Texas Section, your local Branch, and the Civil Engineering community. Thanks to your loyal support, ASCE is able to advocate for improved infrastructure, boost STEM learning opportunities for K-12 students, develop and support young engineers, and provide resources to improve public health, safety, and welfare.

In addition to those efforts, we have made it part of our mission at the Texas Section to deliver value to individual members. We know you each joined ASCE for a variety of reasons—career advancement, continuing education, leadership opportunities, a sense of family, or one of many others. No matter your motivation, we are confident that there is an ASCE resource, program, or opportunity that will help you achieve your goals. Section & Branch dues range from $71 to $75 and support more than just Texas Section's events. Beyond the satisfaction of knowing you're giving back and helping advance your profession right in your backyard, take a look at some of our most popular benefits listed below or head to www.TexASCE.org to check out the ever-growing list of member benefits offered by the Texas Section.

·        Hoping to meet new people, build your network, and create your own civil engineering family? Get involved with your local Branch and ask about their programs & opportunities, or volunteer within a Texas Section Committee or Technical Institute Chapter.

·        Looking for ways to advance in your career? Check out our annual Leadership Development Weekend and find interesting job openings on our Career Center job board.

·        Do you have a continual thirst for knowledge? You'll enjoy our annual Texas CECONmonthly webinars, monthly member newsletter, and the award-winning Texas Civil Engineer online magazine.

  1. 2024 ASCE Region 6 Student Symposium

Professional registration and sponsorship opportunities are now available for the 2024 ASCE Region 6 Student Symposium. The event is set for April 10-13 in San Angelo, Texas. This year, the event will be hosted by the ASCE Student Chapter at Angelo State University.

The annual ASCE Region 6 Student Symposium fosters close association between engineering professionals and over 500 university students. The Student Symposium combines the ASCE Concrete Canoe Student Competition, Steel Bridge competition, a variety of other student competitions, a career fair, and continuing education seminars into one event. The Student Symposium includes seminars on technical topics and power skills that support the transition from the learning environment to the professional arena. We are always looking for guest speakers – contact us at [email protected] with your ideas. The Student Symposium Career Fair is an opportunity for employers to meet with over 500 students from universities from Texas, Mexico, Oklahoma & New Mexico in one place. We know the students who participate in ASCE are some of the brightest civil engineering minds engaged in leadership, teamwork, and professionalism. We think you’ll agree, and we encourage you to consider attending the Career Fair annually!

  1. Annual Texas Section Award Nominations Are Now Open!

Each year, ASCE Texas Section members celebrate outstanding individuals within the Section and throughout our civil engineering community. These deserving individuals are nominated by their peers in recognition of their service and achievements. This is your opportunity to nominate a colleague whom you believe is deserving of special recognition by ASCE Texas Section.

The following awards recognize engineers who provide exemplary service to the Texas Section, their local ASCE Branch, and the public through their professional work and volunteer efforts.
