Dana Burghdoff- Assistant City Manager (City of Fort Worth)

Topic: Downtown Fort Worth/Panther Island Updates

 

Dana Burghdoff is Assistant City Manager for the City of Fort Worth, where she has worked since 1999. Her portfolio includes Aviation, Development Services, Property Management, and Water departments, totaling 1,500 employees.
Dana holds Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in City Planning from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, and is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners.
She serves on the board for CNM - Center for Nonprofit Management, Girl Scouts of Texas-Oklahoma Plains, and the Women’s Policy Forum of Tarrant County. She is a member of Leadership North Texas and Leadership Fort Worth.

Kate Beck is the newly named Central City Flood Control Program Director for the Tarrant Regional Water District, where she is responsible for guiding the delivery of the Central City Program on behalf of local partners and stakeholders. Prior to coming to work at the District, Kate worked at the City of Fort Worth for more than 18 years in various roles, including several years officing across the hall from Ms. Burghdoff.

Kate earned a Bachelor’s of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Illinois, is a Licensed Professional Engineer, and is certified by the American Institute of Certified Planners.

Although Kate is a proud Illini, she is also an Aggie-by-marriage. Outside of work, she stays busy with two teenaged daughters.
