The San Jacinto Monument: A Case History

About the Presenter:

Mr. King is President of SynchroPile, Inc., and has overall responsibility for management of all phases of the company. He is co-inventor of the SynchroPile / SynchroPier Technology. Mr. King pursued his engineering degrees at Texas A&M University. He joined McClelland Engineers’, (predecessor to Fugro Consultants), Houston Division, in 1980. In 1985 he transferred to McClelland-Suhaimi, Ltd., in Saudi Arabia, and assumed the responsibility of supervising engineer. In 1987, he returned to the United States and opened Fugro’s San Antonio office. During his twenty-five year career with Fugro, he attained the position of Regional Vice President. In 2005 Mr. King resigned from Fugro to form SynchroPile.

Mr. King is an expert in a variety of engineering areas including forensic investigations of commercial and residential structures; evaluation of foundation designs; verification of as-built compliance with project plans; evaluation of construction failures; review of geotechnical soil-structure recommendations and designs; and geotechnical consultation related to the moisture condition and swell potential of under-slab foundation soils.
