We are excited to provide you with Section news for your Branch’s monthly newsletter. Please include the below news items and attachments within your newsletter, website and/or social media posts, as you see fit. If you do post on social media – please tag us (Twitter @TEXASCEtweets; Facebook @TEXASCE; Instagram @asce_texassection; LinkedIn @ASCE – Texas Section).
1. 2023 ASCE Region 6 Student Symposium: Building on the Wild Frontier<https://www.texasce.org/our-programs/student-symposium/>
Professional registration<https://www.texasce.org/our-programs/student-symposium/professional-registration/> is now open for the second annual ASCE Region 6 Student Symposium on April 13-15. This year the event will be in Amarillo, Texas at the Amarillo Tri State Exposition Center and hosted by the ASCE Student Chapters of West Texas A&M University and Texas Tech University.
Did you know the 2023 ASCE Region 6 Student Symposium includes technical seminars for professionals? Don’t miss this unique educational opportunity presented by ASCE High Plains Branch. The Branch has worked together to develop a great series of technical and professional development sessions that will allow you to earn up to five (5) professional development hours (PDHs) daily. Here's a look at some of the technical programs:
* Synthetic Microfibers (Speeding Construction, Reducing Cost & Building Greener)
* An Outlook on Renewable Energy in the US (Foundations, Installation, and Future Trends for Offshore Wind)
* Aquaponics for Food: Utility and Profitability
The technical sessions will give you ideas on how to use innovation in your daily work while giving you professional development hours on April 13-14, 2023.
2. Support CECON 2023<https://texascecon.org/>
Save the date for September 20-22, 2023, in San Marcos, TX. The Texas Civil Engineering Conference (CECON™) offers a snapshot of the best in Texas civil engineering, while providing unique opportunities to learn and build relationships across the state and beyond, contributing to the industry’s technical diversity as never before. Like the ancient Romans, including Archimedes—one of the great inventors of the future—engineers have long been on the forefront of inventing the future one invention at a time.
Sponsorship packages range from $750 to $4,000, plus great add-on opportunities to make your package your own. With many exclusive opportunities, you will find the perfect opportunity to help your brand stand out.
Exhibit space options provide highly visible opportunities to showcase your products and services while offering those valuable face-to-face relationships. Spaces start at $1250.
