Julie Jones

Wow, is it already December and 2022 is almost over? I appreciated the great presentations we had from City of Dallas in November at the lunch meeting about Love Field and the 11 am meeting with the contractor and engineers included discussing the recently completed runway reconstruction. The afternoon speaker from the City of Dallas about Sustainability was informative also.

On December 12th we look forward to hearing from Mark Bouma with NTTA Project Delivery as our keynote luncheon speaker, and from Eric Hemphill at 11 am discussing NTTA’s wrong-way driver detection program. After lunch we will have dessert in the lobby and a chance to visit with each other. Additionally, we will have a couple of tables set up to highlight current volunteer needs so if you are interested in volunteering for a committee, please stop by and visit with the committee chairs involved.

Quinn Spann will be at our December meeting to complete his annual fund raiser “Christmas is for Caring” for the Denton State Supported Living Center, home for 500 adults with physical, emotional, and mental disabilities.  The funds raised are used to bring Christmas joy to the residents.

We have a diverse list of volunteer opportunities ranging from the Institutes, outreach to colleges and high schools, legislative engagement, Girl Scouts, meeting planning, etc.   Please let me know if any of these opportunities interest you.  My contact information is  [email protected] or (972) 898-4668.

I look forward to seeing you at our December meeting,

Nancy Cline
