President's Message - November 2022

Hello ASCE Dallas Branch Members!

I am looking forward to hearing the presentation about the recent reconstruction of the runways at Dallas Love Field and the plans for the future at noon on Monday, Nov. 14^th at Vouv Meeting & Event Space. There will be a great technical presentation before the luncheon that includes a panel of speakers who worked on the details and execution of the Love Field Project.  After the lunch is a presentation by the City of Dallas on Sustainability. We hope you will schedule time to listen to some of these additional presentations. 

The Dallas Branch is fortunate to have a history of dedicated volunteers and strong leadership.   As the 2022-2023 President of the Dallas Branch, I take this responsibility of serving the Branch to heart and commit to do my best. We will hold our first combination in-person / Teams Call Board meeting this Friday, November 11th at 1 pm.

We have a diverse list of volunteer opportunities ranging from the Asst. Treasurer, Institutes, outreach to colleges and high schools, legislative engagement, golf tournament chair, Girl Scouts, meeting planning, etc. Please let me know if any of these opportunities interest you.  My contact information is  [email protected] or (972) 898-4668. 

I hope everyone has a couple of days of rest, relaxation with lots of family, friends and food and maybe some sporting events for Thanksgiving. I am thankful for all of the ASCE members who contribute their time to making Dallas Branch ASCE beneficial and fun!
