President's Message - October 2022

Hello ASCE Dallas Branch Members!

I would like to remind everyone that this month we will hold our second Awards Banquet on the evening of October 17^th to celebrate people who have contributed efforts above and beyond to the Dallas Branch and to the Society. There is still time to register for a table sponsorship. Our Technical Institutes will also provide new free technical sessions that are only available online on our YouTube channel.

This will be my final act as your Branch President. While I didn’t accomplish all that I wanted, I am proud of the many things that I was able to bring into our Branch. Of these, I am the proudest of our new MOSAIC Committee that has helped us recognize and celebrate the contributions of historically marginalized or people within our Society. These efforts highlight both how much we have achieved in the past 170 years but also the path forward in our stewardship as the builders of civilization.

Thank you for allowing me to serve this year as President, and I hope to see everyone at our banquet!
