President's Message - May 2022

Hello ASCE Dallas Branch Members!

May is Asian/Pacific American Heritage Month which a celebration of Asians and Pacific Islanders in the United States. Our MOSAIC group has featured in this newsletter the notable civil engineer Dr. Fazlur Rahman Khan known for his designs of the Sears Tower and the John Hancock Center in Chicago.

This month our Branch Director, Samantha Vail, will lead our Branch Meeting and Board Meeting. She is very excited to restart this tradition and will highlight the Younger member Group and their upcoming activities.

We are hosting this year’s in-person joint Dallas / Ft Worth Branch Meeting on Friday, July 8^th so please save the date. This event will be held at the Sheraton Hotel in Arlington. (Southwest corner of IH 30 and Ballpark Way.) This new venue gives us more foyer space for more easier networking.
