Topic: Structural Supports for Overhead Highway Signs

Speaker: Jonathon Seddelmeyer, P.E. 

Jonathon Seddelmeyer is a director and Dallas structural TEC lead for WSP USA. The WSP Dallas structures team consists of 15 engineers and CADD technicians. Jonathon has 22 years of experience in structural engineering, construction phase services, and inspection of conventional and long-span bridges, retaining walls, overhead signs, and other transportation structures. He is experienced with traditional and alternate project delivery methods as well as serving as an extension of the owner’s staff as a prime management consultant. His most meaningful project was the reconstruction of the I-10 Lake Pontchartrain Twin Spans, which were destroyed by Hurricane Katrina and near his childhood home. Jonathon lives in Dallas with his wife and two college-aged children. He enjoys traveling, playing basketball, and makes the best king cakes in north Texas.

 

 

 


 

SUSTAINABILITY INSTITUTE SESSION @ 1:10 PM

Topic: Conserving Land, Protecting Water in North Texas

Speaker: Blake Alldredge

Blake Alldredge is a Water Education Coordinator with the Upper Trinity Regional Water District since 2014.  He coordinates the District’s Water Conservation and Watershed Protection planning and outreach programs and assists customer cities and utilities in their efforts.  Blake also assists in the daily activities of the Upper Trinity Conservation Trust, which was established by the District in 2010 as a non-profit land trust that can accept and hold conservation easements from landowners, developers and municipalities.

Prior to joining UTRWD in 2014, he worked for the Texas A&M AgriLife Extension Service in the Wildlife and Fisheries department.  Blake received a Bachelor’s of Wildlife Science in 2008 and a Master’s of Water Management in 2010, both from Texas A&M University
