Topic: Ground Modification: Various Methods for Improving Soil Performance in Texas

Speaker: John H. Edens, P.E, Senior Engineer – Keller North America

John has spent 32 years in the geo-structural design-build construction business working for both contractors and consultants, including Nicholson, Bauer, Clark Construction, AMEC Earth and Environmental, Kleinfelder and currently serving as a Senior Design Engineer Keller North America in their Dallas Texas regional office. His experience includes design of soil nail and anchored walls, concrete diaphragm walls, soil mixing, jet grouting, compaction grouting, micropiles, drilled shafts, stone columns and rigid inclusions. John earned his Bachelors of Science degree in Civil Engineering in 1989 from Virginia Tech. He is a past chairman for the DFI Soil Nail and Tiebacks Committee and has been a presenter at many ASCE events nationwide.
