The Bridge: Engineering Certifications / Panel Discussion on Pursuing Higher Education

The June 14^th program of “The Bridge” will be hosted by Samantha Vail and Nick Phillips and begin at 1:00 PM via Teams. As always, we will highlight information important for the young engineer’s developing career. Our featured guest speaker this month will be Mark Boyd from LCA Environmental showcasing the “Overview of Engineering Certifications” including what they mean, their uses, and how to get them. We will also have a Panel Discussion on Pursuing Higher Education options.

NEXT MONTH: The Dallas Ft Worth Branch will be conducting the joint meeting in July so we will not present an episode of The Bridge that month but will resume on August 9^th at 1 pm. The August episode is planned to be in-person at the Vouv in Addison and still broadcast on Teams.

LAST MONTH RECAP: The May 10th program for “The Bridge” was hosted by ASCE Dallas Younger Member Chair, Samantha Vail. Our featured guest speaker was Patrick Williams from Urban Engineers showcasing a presentation on Networking Basics which will highlight common techniques to cultivate your professional circle. We also presented a panel on understanding the office environment to help manage your career trajectory. The panelists were Patrick Williams - Urban Engineers, Chris Hoff - Jacobs, and Jonathan Brower - L. A. Fuess. Our previous “The Bridge” program has been posted to the Branch YouTube Channel.
