The Bridge: Virtual Meetings 101

The March 8^th program for “The Bridge” will be hosted by Samantha Vail and Nick Phillips and begin at 1:00 PM via Teams. As always, we will highlight information important for the young engineer’s developing career. Our featured guest speaker this month will be ASCE Dallas Branch President, Jonathan Brower from L.A. Fuess Partners showcasing a presentation, “Virtual Meetings 101” which will highlight virtual meeting etiquette, as well as how to improve on the ways we partake in, and host online meetings and events. LAST MONTH RECAP: February’s “The Bridge” program was hosted by Samantha Vail and Nick Phillips. Mark Van Andel gave a presentation titled "Basics of Negotiating" where he discussed the fundamentals on how to negotiate with employers regarding hiring salaries, compensation packages, and pay increases. This was followed by a short demonstration by Nick Phillips on how to use the ASCE Salary Survey, which is a tool provided by ASCE that aids in understanding the current pay value of an employee based on various experience criterions. The February program has been posted to the Branch YouTube Channel.
