2020-21 FUTURE CITIES PROGRAM! VOLUNTEERS NEEDED
Here ye! Here ye! We call today for VOLUNTEERS 21st North Texas Regional Future City Competition – This year’s challenge is to make Neil Armstrong proud in designing a lunar city applying the Moon’s resources to keep the city’s residents safe and healthy. We are looking for MENTORS and JUDGES to help evaluate the designs that children come up with! See down below to find your OPPORTUNITY to help! Previous years ASCE Dallas has given a special award of Infrastructure Resilience (see 2020 winner’s photo below).
“The Dallas Branch of ASCE selected "Monet City" for their creative use of ocean wave dampeners, algae farms, oscillating structure designs, and underground utility protection ideas to mitigate risks during natural disasters and ensure infrastructure resiliency.”
