The Anthony Luce Award of Honor

The Anthony Luce Award of Honor was created by the ASCE Dallas Branch in 2020 under the leadership of the ASCE Dallas Branch Board and Past-Presidents. The Dallas Branch leaders felt it was important to create this award for several reasons. First and foremost, at the time of his passing, Anthony Luce was the current ASCE Dallas Branch President – an unprecedented circumstance in the history of the Dallas Branch. Anthony continued to serve and lead the Dallas Branch right up until the time of his passing. His commitment to the Branch and professionalism amid these trying times for himself and his family were extraordinary attributes that stood out to the entire Dallas Branch leadership team that was serving with him. Secondly, the Dallas Branch Board of Directors recognized that the awards program within the Branch was missing a distinctive award for committed service to the Dallas Branch in a way that emphasized service over self – something that Anthony exemplified greatly. The ASCE Dallas Branch conferred the first Anthony Luce Award of Honor in 2020 and is committed to conferring this distinctive award every five years.
