Dear Dallas Branch Membership:

I hope you had a chance to watch some or all of the joint meeting.  Thanks to yall we raised $2,340 for the North Texas Food Bank.  That provided 7,020 meals for hungry children, families and seniors in our community through the North Texas Food Bank.   I also wanted to thank all of those who helped put the joint meeting together.  A huge thank you goes to Chad Ostrander who recorded and edited all of the content and got it posted on the YouTube channel.  I know that took a large effort, and we could not do any of the virtual branch meetings without Chad.  I am constantly amazed by the talents that we have within the branch.

I also wanted to let you know that the Dallas Branch awarded three scholarship recipients this year thanks to the generosity of our Branch.  We presented scholarships to Steven Figueroa, who will attend Texas A&M University, Emmanuel Mares, who will also attend Texas A&M University, and Gustavo Mezam, who will attend University of Texas at Austin.

If you want to do more than just attend the meetings, or have ideas on how we can better our Branch then we would love to have you help us plan what we can accomplish as a Branch by joining our team.  You can nominate yourself or others.  The nomination form is on our web site and social media. There are always committee positions you can step into as lead or co-lead, and several Board level positions that will require filling.   See me or any of your officers and committee volunteers for details.

This month at our meeting Brian Barth, Director of Project Planning and Development at TxDOT.  Will be giving an update on Project Development.  I look forward to the meeting this month, and hope to see everyone soon!

Yours in service,

Julie A. Jones, PE, CFM

President
