G.B. Mann Scholarship Application
Dear Dallas ISD counselors, As you can imagine, this COVID-19 pandemic has impacted everyone. On this, the Dallas ASCE Leadership has decided to push back the due date of the scholarship applications to Friday, May 15th. We hope this gives more opportunity for any of your high school seniors interested in the fields offered under the Civil Engineering discipline to get an application in for the possible scholarship. Let me encourage you to strongly inspire your students to get their applications in. We will be awarding this scholarship and we can assume the number of applications will be down, giving your students a better chance of being awarded a scholarship. American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE) has as its mission to provide essential value to members, their careers, partners, and the public; facilitate the advancement of technology; encourage and provide the tools for lifelong learning; promote professionalism and the profession; develop and support civil engineers. With this, the ASCE Dallas Branch would like to provide scholarships to select students from your schools who are interested in pursuing college studies in any of several areas inwhich the Civil Engineering profession is integral with - Transportation Engineering, Coastal Engineering, Structural Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Engineering, and Architectural Please use the following link to access scholarship forms: https://dallasasce.org/Branch_Scholarships This is open to all graduating high school seniors beginning a degree program in civil engineering in the fall of 2020 from the ASCE Dallas Branch region (Collin, Cooke, Dallas, Denton, Ellis, Kaufman, Navarro, and Rockwall counties). Please advertise these scholarship opportunities with your seniors and note deadline for application submissions – the internet shows the previous due date of May 1st, but the Dallas ASCE Leadership has decided to push this back to May 15th.
