MORNING SESSION @ 11:00 AM Topic: Mesa Street Corridor Multimodal Analysis Speakers: Druhva Lahon, PE - Kimley-Horn and Associates Dhruva Lahon, P.E., PTOE is a Senior Project Manager in the Dallas office of Kimley-Horn and Associates. She has more than 14 years of experience in a variety of traffic and transportation projects, including traffic operations, design, and planning. Dhruva’s skills encompass traffic analysis, innovative intersections, corridor studies, and safety studies. She primarily serves public-sector clients including TxDOT and municipalities. Topic: Highway Work Zone Safety: Design and Operation Speakers: Mark Bloschock, PE Mark retired from the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) in 2007 as a bridge engineer and highway safety specialist. He formerly served as a highway safety engineer with the US DOT Federal Highway Administration’s Office of Safety in Washington DC, as a fulltime consultant to a major tollway authority in Texas, and as the Head of Engineering for an international highway safety products and force protection devices manufacturer. He continues to serve on national highway safety committees in the US including on a current National Cooperative Highway Research Program (NCHRP) project for the update of the Load and Resistance Factor Design (LRFD) Specifications for Section 13 on bridge rails. He also serves as an instructor for highway safety workshops, and has presented on pertinent safety topics in North, Central and South America, the Caribbean region, and the Middle East. Mark has most recently served as the bridge design co-task leader for an 11-mile long, $800 million design-build toll road project, over half of which is bridge, and is currently a technical advisor and consultant to the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) Maintenance Department through VRX, Inc. in the Plano, Texas office.
