Topic: Colorado River, Austin Block 185 Slurry Wall Project

Speakers: Ihab Allam, PE

Ihab studied civil engineering in University of Alexandria, Egypt, graduated 1998, has over 20 years-experience in deep foundation, Ihab is a PE in the State of Texas. After graduation in the first year of work he worked in rebuilding the famous Alexandria Library (Biblotheca Alexandrina) in Alexandria Egypt. He then joined Ing. Giovanni Rodio Foundation Company where he started working around the world including Italy, Nigeria and Egypt. He then moved to USA  in 2004 where he participated in several mega projects in North America and currently working for Malcolm Drilling.

Topic: Denton's Program to Protect Environmentally Sensitive Areas

Speakers: Christi Upton

Mrs. Upton graduated from the University of North Texas with a Master of Science degree in Environmental Science. After graduating, Christi has worked for more than one North Texas community in water quality and water resource management. Christi has been with the City of Denton for a little over a year, where she continues to work in the field of watershed management. Christi has more than 15 years of experience working to protect surface water quality.
