ASCE Career Day Event - George Peabody Elementary School

Two weeks ago, ASCE had a few members stop by the George Peabody Elementary School Career Day to talk about civil engineering! The students were excited to learn what we as engineers do to build civilizations. To test their knowledge, we challenged the students to build 2-story spaghetti houses that could be tested on an make-shift earthquake simulator!  These motivated students were able to work together to test their skills just before their Thanksgiving long week break.
