Jennifer Smith

Dear Dallas Branch Members:

I can’t believe it is already October, although it is still in the 90s so it doesn’t quite feel like it.  I have enjoyed serving as the Interim President over the last few months, and have ideas of things to accomplish as president in the next year.  I attended Presidents and Governors Forum this past month and got a lot of great ideas from other Presidents of Sections and Branches all over ASCE Global.  The Dallas Branch, and its members, won several awards at CECON this year.  Those are listed later on in the newsletter.   The Dallas Branch has accomplished a lot over the past year from hosting the Multi Regional Leadership Conference, golf tournament, educational outreach events, technical sessions and branch meetings.  My appreciation goes to the board, committee leaders, past presidents, and members for helping in all these endeavors this year.  It is a group effort in all that we accomplish as a Branch.

Finally I would like to thank our Branch sponsors. Without your support, we would not be able to do all that we do.  Our Platinum Sponsor was BGE, Inc., and our Silver Sponsors were Braun Intertec, Hayden Consultants, Inc., and LCA Environmental, Inc.

Please join me at the October meeting, at the Vouv on Monday October 14th. Sean Merrill, Region 6 Governor and ASCE Texas Section President-Elect, will install the 2019-2020 Officers:
