Topic: “Geopier® Ground Improvement Solutions for the Lone Star State”

Speakers: Dustin Douglas, P.E.

Dustin Douglas, P.E. is a Region Engineer for Geopier Foundation Company. Dustin facilitates engineering design and marketing for Geopier Foundation Company in the states of Texas and Louisiana. Dustin received his Bachelor of Science in Civil Engineering from the University of Texas in Tyler, Texas. Prior to working with Geopier, Dustin was a geotechnical project engineer for Apex Geoscience in Tyler.

Topic: Seismic Design and Detailing Requirements Set Forth in ASCE 7

Speakers: Matthew Ritchie, P.E.

Matthew Ritchie graduated from Southern Methodist University in 2007 with a B.S. and M.S. in Civil Engineering. He has designed numerous bridges, mid-rise buildings, and high-rise structures all over the United States including in California, Oregon, and Washington. Matthew’s structural competencies include mild-steel and post-tensioned concrete design as well as wood, steel, masonry, and cold-formed framing. Through his tenure as a Texas-based structural engineer, Matthew has been a contributing engineer to such projects as the LBJ TEXpress Lanes, the nineteen-story Catherine Condo Tower in Austin, and the currently-under-construction Marriott Uptown tower in Dallas.
