President's Message - March 2019

Anthony Luce

Dear Dallas Branch Members:

My message for this month will be rather short.  In February we had several great events that the Dallas Branch participated in or hosted.  The MRLC at the beginning of the moth was a wonderful event that went well and was commended by all that attended.  You can read more about the specifics of the event in our wrap-up article later in the newsletter.  The E-week awards luncheon and other E-week events were well attended, and we were honored to be a part of the awards ceremony and outreach events that E-week afforded us.

This month, our ASCE Dallas Branch meeting will be on Monday, March 11th.  We will be learning about “Updates to the Collin County Bond Program and Projects” by our presenter Daugherty the Director of Engineering for Collin County.   Our AM Technical Session is being conducted by the Sustainability Institute and is entitled “Performance Measurements as Applied to Sustainability” and will be presented by Dr. Valerie Shoup, Gary Helm, and Erik Gonzalez.  The afternoon Technical Session will be conducted by EWRI with a title of “Climate Change and its Impact to Texas” with Susan G. Alvarez, PE, CFM as the presenter.

Please join us to listen to the wonderful presenters and their interesting topics.  We look forward to seeing you on the 11th.  Until next month…

Yours in service,

Anthony Luce
