Topic: Pavement Design with Geogrids

Blake Wilson is a graduate of Texas A&M University where he received his degree in Construction Science.  Upon graduating he spent several years working in commercial construction before joining Tensar in 2017 where he serves as the regional sales manager for North Texas and Oklahoma.

Topic: Abram Street Pedestrian Bridge

Speakers: David Narvaez & Peter Kau

Mr. Narvaez has been integrally involved in architectural projects from initial design concepts through construction close-out. His expertise includes producing and refining architectural designs using a variety of design and graphic software for 3D modeling, rendering, animation and 3D printing.  He is adroit in Building Information Modeling (BIM), having produced models in Autodesk Revit and Bentley Microstation platforms and serving as project BIM Manager for numerous projects. 

Mr. Narvaez is an accomplished artist and is bilingual in English-Spanish languages. He has developed several presentation drawings for proposals and interviews including hand sketches, 3D models, computer renderings and animations. Additionally, Mr. Narvaez has built basswood models for different architects and has experience in 3D printing. This experience has helped him to develop good craftsmanship and focus on details and process of building scale models. His artwork has been exhibited at various locations, including the Dallas Museum of Art.

Mr. Kau has 18 years of structural related experience for a variety of bridge and retaining wall projects. His bridge design experience includes highway bridges, pedestrian bridges, and aviation structures. He also has extensive experience in bridge inspection, load rating, bridge rehabilitation design, and forensic investigation on structural related failures. He is currently serving as a project manager at Michael Baker International.
