ASCE Membership Renewal Reminder

Did you know membership dues are often the largest revenue stream for both the Texas Section and the Dallas Branch? This revenue allows us to provide quality educational, technical, and professional advocacy opportunities throughout the year. This is just one more reason we are grateful whenever you elect to pay the Combined Section and Branch Dues* in addition to the standard ASCE membership dues. By paying this fee, you are considered a “subscribing member” of the Texas Section and Dallas Branch.

Soon, you will likely receive two reminders to renew your dues for next year. One comes via email and one comes via the US Postal Service. Please pay special attention to the various options through which you can support the Texas Section and Dallas Branch activities.

When you complete your dues renewal, you may also elect to make an additional, voluntary contribution. These optional contributions are retained by the Texas Section and help to provide programing for nearly 10,000 members across the state. The Texas Section has funding available to assist Branches on an as-needed basis.

  • On the electronic renewal form there is an entry entitled "Texas Section-Dallas Branch Voluntary (Suggested Amount: 20.00)."

  • On the paper renewal form received in the mail is different. Under "STEP 2 GIFTS TO THE PROFESSION" there is a line with three empty spaces entitled "Description see enclosed for description", "Write-in Amount", and "Write-in Code". A separate, business envelope size flyer in the mailing entitled "STEP 2 GIFTS TO THE PROFESSION" lists Descriptions and Write-in Codes. The relevant entries for this option, should you wish to use it, would be "Section Voluntary Fund - SV".

*The Combined Section and Branch Dues are $70 for large Branches (Austin, Dallas, Fort Worth, Houston, and San Antonio) and $66 for small Branches (Brazos, Caprock, Central Texas, Corpus Christi, El Paso, High Plains, Northeast Texas, Rio Grande Valley, Southeast Texas, and West Texas). Of those dues, $60 is retained by the Section and $10 or $6, respectively, is passed through to the Branch.
