Dear ASCE Dallas Branch Members and Friends,

Happy 4th of July! I hope y’all are enjoying the holiday. July is a wonderful time for connection, and what better way to come together than our annual joint meeting with the ASCE Fort Worth Branch! Join us on July 18th for a day filled with technical sessions, an ethics seminar, and a keynote presentation by Mayor Jeff Williams on the Medal of Honor Museum. We’ll also have a variety of exhibitors.

We were recently saddened to hear of the passing of Clifford Keheley, a respected engineer and leader in our field. He made a lasting impact on the City of Dallas through his service as Director of Public Works and later as First Assistant City Manager. A celebration of his life took place on June 11th.

We’re excited to announce a new collaboration with SMU Lyle School of Engineering, which is developing 1-2 day workshops and courses tailored for industry professionals. They’re currently seeking input on the most valuable topics to offer. ASCE Dallas members will receive a 20% discount on these upcoming programs. Please take a moment to share your thoughts by completing this brief survey: SMU Workshop/Course Suggestions.

Also, a quick reminder: Nominations for Dallas Branch Officer and Committee Chair positions open this month! If you're interested in getting involved and helping lead the Branch, please reach out to me. We welcome new voices and ideas to help us grow and improve.

If you have any questions, ideas, or feedback, don’t hesitate to reach out. I'm here to support you and continue serving our Branch as best I can.

I look forward to seeing many of you at the Dallas/Fort Worth joint ASCE meeting on July 18th!

Warm regards,
Fadi N. Faraj, P.E.
